Vine FX’s Lead VFX Compositor Vahik Asoyan and Compositing Supervisor Max Alexander were invited to do a live colaboration with the Foundry to discuss the compositing behind the Paramount+ dark drama No Escape, and the learnings they applied to similar work for the BBC's Boat Story. The team faced several challenges throughout the process on Boat Story, including the need to swap everything into full CG, finding the correct distance of the depth without any metadata, and having to avoid any 3D animation, as it was a 2D shot.
