Howard Overman original crime drama 'Hit Point' partnered with Vine FX for seamless VFX to help bring the dynamic and gritty Channel U & Dave series to screen.
Hit Point, a Channel U and Dave crime drama, produced by StudioCanal and written by Howard Overman. The series followed a group of characters caught up in a world of crime, policing and personal conflict, and was Channel U’s first commissioned drama.
Vine FX delivered over 200 VFX shots across the series, working across a range of environments, action sequences and screen-based effects.
The work included wire removals, green and blue screen replacements, city, hospital, shipping port, ferry and care home set extensions. The team also created muzzle flashes, gun FX, screen inserts and bespoke CCTV looks designed specifically for the production.
Alongside the compositing work, Vine FX created full CG police cars, helping to expand the scope of what could be achieved through set dressing of the series while keeping everything naturally integrated into the filmed material.
The VFX team worked closely with the production to deliver a broad range of effects across the show, supporting its locations, action and storytelling.
